PAYMENTS//ORDERS

Q: Do I need an account to place an order?
A: Nope! Placing an order is easy and you don't even have to create an account in our database. Click on the Checkout button and enter your information safely & securely on the Paypal site or sign in if you already have an existing account with Paypal. Your information is stored solely on the Paypal website for safe trading.


Q: What methods of payment do you accept:
A: Paypal is the fastest & most secure way to exchange on the internet. We also accept Paypal e-cheques, and money orders.
If you would like to send your money order, please contact Customer Service for the mailing address. We encourage all money orders be sent with a confirmation number for your own safety & security through transit.


Q: How do I use a coupon or gift certificate?
A: Got a gift or coupon code to use? Lucky you!
To use your coupon or gift certificate, you'll first need the code. The code will be a combination of letters and numbers. You can apply your coupon or gift certificate code in checkout, on the Billing page. Under "Billing Information", there's a field to enter a coupon code or gift certificate code. Enter your code and click "Apply" to deduct the amount from your order total. You'll see the amount deducted from your order total. Click 'Remove' if you decide not to use the code and save it for later.
If the amount exceeds the order total, the balance will remain on the coupon or gift certificate code to be used on future orders.
Please note: Certain circumstances may limit one coupon per order or require an order minimum to use a code. Restrictions noted at checkout. Coupons and gift certificates can't be used on purchases for gift certificates.
If the process does not deduct from the total amount, please contact Customer Service for the updated total.





Q:How much is shipping?
A: S&H within the lower 48 states is $3.00 per garment.
Canada + Mexico is $5.00 per garment.
All other international destinations will be $8.00 per garment


Q: When will I receive my order?
A: Please allow 2-3 for all orders to process on top of delivery with the exception of Express Mail. All doemstic orders include tracking information, delivered via USPS.

Standard Shipment (Parcel) within the United States : 3-10 business days.

Priority: 2-4 days.

Express Mail: 1-2 days (no processing wait). Available only upon request for an additional fee varying by weight.

International destinations: 7-15 business days.


Q: How can I track my order?
A: Upon shipment, Paypal will electronically deliver the tracking number of your shipment to your registered e-mail address. Visit USPS.com and enter the tracking information.



Q: What can I do if my order has not arrived?A: If you placed a Domestic (US) order:

Check the expected delivery time frame in the f.a.q. If you still don't have your order after the time frame provided, enter your tracking number within the system at USPS.com to find the whereabouts of your shipment. If your tracking number has not updated in several days or if it shows the order as delivered, but you didn't receive it, contact our Customer Support and we'll start an investigation with USPS.
If you placed an International (non-US) order:
Check the expected delivery time frame in your  shipping confirmation email. Some International shipments can be delayed at country borders, customs, or other routing destinations along the way. If you still don't have your order after  the time frame provided, check with your local postal and customs offices to see if they are holding your order and contact our Customer Support if they're unable to find it.




RETURNS//EXCHANGES
 

Q:What is your Return Policy?
A: Due to the nature of vintage, all items are sold 'as is'.

In the case a buyer is completely unhappy with a purchase, he/she must download & fill out the  

Return Form   within 24 hours of item receipt and e-mail the completed form as an attachment to Customer Service within 3 business days. Returns are accepted on a 'per case' base only.

Note, item must be received by BDV within 10 days from the day the Return Form was received. Item must be returned in the same condition it was in prior to sending and all tags must be attached. Buyer is responsible for all s&h costs. S&H will not be refunded under any circumstance. A 10% Restocking fee will be charged for any returned item.


If you are unable to download the Return Form, contact Customer Service for an e-mail attachment.


Q: How do I check my return status?
A: To find out when your return will be processed, you'll want to take into consideration the shipment time and the return processing time. Ship time varies based on the shipping method you used to return your order. Return processing is usually 1-2 weeks once we receive a return or exchange. If you sent your return back on June 1 via UPS 2 Day, you should expect your return to be processed no later than June 17th. Most returns are processed just a few days after we receive them, but please note, it can take up to 2 weeks if we're backed up.  When your return is processed, we'll send you a notification email. If you believe your return should have been processed, but never received a notification, check your spam folder to make sure the email didn't get marked as spam and feel free to check in with our Customer Support.

Q: How do exchanges work?
A:  In the case a buyer is not satisfied with a purchase and does not qualify for a return, buyer has the option to exchange their item for another item on the site of equal or lesser value. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs when applicable and must return the item(s) in the same condition as received with all tags attached. Buyer must send item back with delivery confirmation for safety during transit. Once item is received & confirmed via tracking, buyer will be e-mailed to continue exchange process. Buyer may pay the difference if value of exchanged item equals out to more than original item. If it is less in value, buyer may use the remainder for shipping costs. All additional monies will be refunded to buyer. Restrictions apply.



VINTAGE CLOTHING//

Q:What is vintage?
A: Vintage clothing is pre-worn clothing that is no longer made and/or can no longer be purchased at retail stores. Vintage is anything once made 10+ years ago. Brain Damage Vintage specializes in vintage finds from the 1990's, 1980's, and 1970's.
Vintage clothing may have signs of wear and rarely is it ever deadstock. Deadstock is vintage clothing that still contains tags and is in unworn condition. All our vintage items are in wearable vintage shape and unique in its' own charming way.



Q: How do I find my size?
A: Because all of our items are original vintage finds, we only have the size mentioned available. You can find this in the item description beside the image.

Q: When did Brain Damage Vintage start?
A: BDV was created in 2006 by artists & vintage collectors, Victoria Ferrer & Mark Rex as an online store. Over 3000 transactions have been made since its opening.
